WHO WE ARE

JC, born and raised in Dallas ,TX, is an entertainer and choreographer with over 19 years of experience in the entertainment industry. His professional career started at the age of fourteen while touring nationally and internationally with New York Stage Originals show, “Tap Kids”. JC moved to LA in 2009 and then to New York in 2011 where his TV/ film/theatrical chapter started. Some of his film and television credits include Fosse/Verdon (FX), Annie (2014), HBO’s Vinyl, Glee, Gossip Girl and Nurse Jackie. While living in New York, his professional career extended to both Off and On Broadway, including the original Broadway company of The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical which was nominated for 12 Tonys awards. His other Broadway credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Soul Doctor, and A.R.T’s Finding Neverland.

In addition, JC has had opportunities to work for Madonna, Keith Urban, Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, The View, The 72nd Tony Awards and the 90th annual Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade, to name a few.

JC has expanded his experience in the entertainment business as a choreographer and assistant choreographer for TV, industrials, conventions, and conferences/events. He has had the privilege to work on shows for CHI Farouk Systems, The Yellow Conference, Orange County School Of The Arts and Pace University. For TV, JC was one of the choreographers for Orange Is the New Black and worked on the pre- production and production of the Emmy Award-Winning TV show as a choreographer’s assistant and performer for Fosse/Verdon on FX.

Today, JC serves as Interim Producing Artistic Director of WaterTower Theatre, where he is focused on strengthening the organization’s artistic excellence, financial sustainability, and community partnerships. Drawing on his professional experience in Broadway, television, film, and live entertainment, he is committed to expanding WaterTower Theatre’s role as a cultural asset for Addison while developing new opportunities in education and community programming.

Originally from Southern California, Allison Schuster is a graduate of Orange County School of the Arts and holds a BFA from The Juilliard School, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes. Her performance career includes works by some of the most influential choreographers of our time, including Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Twyla Tharp, Mark Morris, Martha Graham, Lar Lubovitch, Matthew Neenan, Nicolo Fonte, and Aszure Barton.

Throughout her career, Allison has collaborated with a wide range of internationally recognized companies and creative teams. She was an original cast member, dancer, aerialist, and dance captain for Viva Elvis by Cirque du Soleil, directed by Vincent Paterson with choreography by Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo. She served for six years as rehearsal director and principal dancer/aerialist with Company XIV under the artistic direction of Austin McCormick.

In addition, Allison was dance assistant to Mia Michaels while performing in New York Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. She was a longtime company member with the The Metropolitan Opera, a guest artist with Keigwin + Company, and has contributed as a creative assistant on projects for Sonya Tayeh, Cherice Barton, and Andy Blankenbuehler.

Her television credits include Alternatino with Arturo Castro on Comedy Central, as well as commercial work for IBM and VH1. She has also appeared as a guest performer on So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing with the Stars, Strictly Come Dancing, and Primetime Emmy Awards.

Now based in Dallas, she serves as Artistic Associate and Rehearsal Director for Pegasus Contemporary Ballet, where she continues to mentor emerging artists and help shape the next generation of contemporary dance.
